Last week I had a shoot with Adele from Willow Model Management. This was a great opportunity to break in the D800 and see how it performs. In this entry I go over the pro & cons of the D800, include a lighting diagram as well as a short behind the scenes video.

July 31, 2012Viridian (shot with a tri-flash adapter)
June 12, 2012Several weeks ago a friend and co-worker announced she would be leaving us here at PlainJoe. This also coincided with her birthday. We thought it would be fun to do a mini photo shoot with her. I also thought it would be a good opportunity to test out a tri-flash adapter I picked up on ebay. We headed out after work with our sights set on creating a great image and also producing the first behind the scenes video for the blog.
San Francisco – 2010
October 31, 2010Back in July, the wife and I took a short trip up to San Francisco. We were there for about two days and the weather was overcasted (just how I like it). Lenses used were 35mm f2, 85mm f1.8 and a 14mm F2.8. These are a few of the images taken on that trip.

July 6, 2010Welcome to the Blog! It’s been a long time coming. The main focus of this blog will be for information and resources rather than my own photography. I will try to share as much as I can. I’m not claiming I know what I’m doing, but if you like what I do, then you may take away something from this blog.
In the past I have always listed strobist info. Now via this blog I will try to supply more detailed lighting information with the occasional setup shot.
